Terms of Service

Coast Creative Studio is a Los Angeles web design studio. You can reach us any time at hello@coastcreative.studio.

We design and build websites and related digital work, and we make downloadable software available for purchase.

Design and development projects are governed by the separate written proposal or agreement you sign for that work. Where that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement controls for that project.

When you download or purchase an App, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use it on Macs you own or control, for your own business or personal use.

We (and our licensors) own the Apps and everything in them. This license doesn’t transfer any ownership to you.

Our Apps connect to third-party services that you choose to use — for example Vercel, Google, Microsoft Bing, GitHub, and Anthropic. You’re responsible for your own accounts, API keys, and any fees, usage limits, or terms those services impose.

You’re responsible for keeping your own credentials secure. Because the Apps store those credentials on your own Mac (see our Privacy Policy), the safety of your device is part of keeping them safe.

App purchases are made through our online store on Shopify (coastcreative.shop). Shopify provides the checkout and processes your payment on its secure, PCI-compliant systems; Coast Creative is the seller and merchant of record for your purchase. We never see or store your full card number, and Shopify’s own buyer terms apply to the checkout in addition to these Terms.

Prices are shown at checkout and may change over time. Any sales tax or VAT required for your location is calculated and added at checkout. After your payment clears, your download is delivered to you by email. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Please use the website lawfully and don’t interfere with it. In particular, don’t attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt or overload the site, scrape it abusively, or use it to infringe someone else’s rights.

The website and its content — text, design, graphics, logos, and code — are owned by Coast Creative or used with permission, and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Please don’t reuse them without our written permission. Client names and case-study work shown on the site remain the property of their respective owners.

The website and the Apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t warrant that they’ll be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

The Apps display information gathered from third-party services. We don’t control those services and can’t guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or availability of the data they return.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coast Creative will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or issues arising from third-party services, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for any claim relating to an App is limited to the amount you paid for that App in the 12 months before the claim (or 100 USD if the App was free).

You agree to cover reasonable costs and claims that arise from your misuse of the website or Apps, or your violation of these Terms or of the law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
