Somewhere Up in Space is the fine-art practice of astrophotographer Kat Dykeman — photographs of the night sky, the Sun, and wild places, each frame the end of a journey that started as light years before it hit the sensor. Work like that needs a website that gets out of its way and lets the images breathe.
We built a dark, cinematic gallery: a full-bleed twilight hero, elegant serif display type, and a quiet, deliberate pace that feels more like a planetarium than a photo site. A Stephen Hawking pull-quote sets the tone, an 'In Motion' section makes room for time-lapse film, and the collections are organized into four ways of looking up — from the galaxy overhead to the life at our feet.
The restraint is the point. On a photography site, every design flourish competes with the photographs; here the frame recedes so the universe can fill it.
